Welcome to The coding chiroptera’s lore!
This website is a place for me to learn in public. With that in mind, I’ll be publishing /posts about my findings and lessons learned. You can find all of them grouped by year in the /archive.
- The source code of this website is located in a Github repository.
- There’s a /stats page to showcase some descriptive analytics.
- This website has been inspired by many cool (and sometimes anonymous) people out there. To all of them, /thank-you.
About me
I’m Osvaldo Miranda, a curiosity-driven learner currently working in the Data Engineering field.
While my main interest is Python, I have also taken a dive on several other technologies, including Hugo, which is the framework I use to build this site.
There is a /uses page and also a /blogroll.
Where to find me
- Email. I do prefer to be contacted by email.
- This website. I don’t have social media.
- GitHub profile.
- LinkedIn. Ugh. I really don’t like it, but is somehow useful?

Wait, what does “chiroptera” mean?
Chiroptera is the scientific order that comprises bats. I love bats, they are fantastic animals that make the world a better place. There are a lot of cool facts about bats flying around this website, have you spotted them already?
